No, those filibusters couldn’t have happened by themselves! Not to mention the 100s of anti-abortion and anti-contraceptive laws, and the 32 repeals of health care reform. Too bad that didn’t leave time for a jobs bill, an agriculture bill, or a budget…
Sadly Ahab, they’ve NOT been asleep, rather they’ve spent every waking moment building barricades to any effort at recovery, or actual progress. All their bills and riders calling for MORE deregulation that got us INTO this mess, is NOT progress or “sleeping” (brain-dead, but not asleep)
Any talk of treason is more appropriate relative to 0bama – his dissemination of information that was ar should have been classified served to aid and abet the enemies of the USA . . . .!!!
Y’know what’s funny about all this going on? For two years the Democrats had unfettered control of government spending. They ramped up spending past any level ever seen in our history. The experiment failed, proving (yet again) that Keneysian (sp?) economics don’t work as a method to restart a sputtering economy. And what’s really insideous here is the fact that everyone is demonizing the Republicans for blocking FURTHER spending and instead trying to return to capitalism. What I think is amusing is that they are afraid of letting the Republicans try their version because it will prove the Democrats’ version doesn’t work. It has nothing to do with the state of the economy, it has everything to do with saving face. Why else would Reid declare any bill passed by the House Republicans DOA? Why would he not hold a vote pertaining to any budget? Why wouldn’t he let any Republican action even come up for a debate? These are purely political moves meant to shore up their ranks so they remain in power. Harry Reid has ceased being an advocate for his state and instead attempted to manage the upper chamber with a dictatorial rule. How is that good for the US?

Actually 8.3% is a lot better than the 15-20% we’d have if the auto industry tanked. And yes, congress was so busy with other important stuff.

How easily you two throw the word treason around without any knowledge whatsoever. Ignorance is your trademark, it seems.
