Nope… the top of the professional food chain walk upon the backs of the front line and so-called inferiors, to dine upon the glory… or so it would seem….

Offer your doctor to pay cash and see how much cheaper it becomes.

Unless you’re Angelina, Tom Cruise or Oprah. But I’m not sure if they’re really artists. Just actors. :)

Yeah, last year a visit from the paramedics cost me $1500. Yikes! But at least they were there so I’m not complaining. Much.

Politicians once complain that celebrities and athletes are paid more than them!

LOL! I just ran over to look at “today’s” strip and it is ALSO about doctors (and the other major problem). When I was going to a regular internist I could expect to sit waiting at least an hour with an assortment of mostly useless magazines, so I’d take my own reading material.

I now see a holistic doctor who is supervising my diet and supplements and he always sees me when it is time for my appointment. Tomorrow we will be discussing (and I’ll see for 1st time) results of my latest blood tests. I expect them to be much improved and I have been studying everything that we have been doing on various online sites as well.

It would be better if all medicine were as transparently open as most other things that we purchase.

EMS services bill the patient or their insurance provider directly.
