    Every time Tarzan says “Dick!” he has an exclamation, seems to be denoting sarcasm. Dick was getting tired of that so gives his own back, “Tarzan!”

    Interesting, but EVERY sentence today ends with an exclamation point so I don’t necesarily agree with your observation.

    Dick (!) is still wearing that ridiculous Nairobi Sunday suit and now the expedition is about to enter the “impregnable” forest!Snakes, jungle cats, spiders, scorpians, etc. lurk in those shadows offering danger and excitement, plus we have those two Russkie idiots bringing up the rear also city-attired. I hope the forest dwellers appreciate the fact that these characters are coming dressed for dinner! :)>! Dumbgowa!!

    In this, as in most comics, nearly all declarative sentences end with an exclamation point. Just check yesterday’s strip, for example.
