Edgar Rice Burroughs (1875–1950) was an American author. He is best known as an early influence in the science fiction genre, specifically through the creation of his best known series, Tarzan of the Apes and John Carter of Mars. He was a prolific author in general and made contributions to many other genres.

You work with what you’ve got. Since no one – not the syndicate and not the Burroughs estate – seems interested in reviving the strip, what we’ve got are the strips from the late 1980s and early 1990s.

It looks like Tarzan lost his quiver full of arrows somewhere…and his bow is no longer a compound.
