That particular song is the worst for giving me earworms.

I once had a similar experience after a weekend of University of Alabama baseball and “Cotton-Eyed Joe.”

Oh nooooooo! I got it now!

And now, thanks to the strip and reading all the comments, I have short list of songs running thru my head. Darn contagious earworms!!

This has definitely happened to ME!!!!!

At least no one mentioned “Baby elephant walk.” D’oh! I just did.

The approaching war theme from Shastakovich’s Leningrad symphony. It is short, repeated, and has a relentless sound and hangs in there relentlessly too.

It helps to have good music on your phone so you can play a song to get the ear worm out a bit easier. ;-)

The “Golden Calf” song from “Faust”. A catchy drinking song, but it’s been in my head for weeks.
