Good morning, Vagabonds. It’s late – 7:30 AM on the East Coast – and yet no one else has signed in. I went to sleep at Midnight – one hour before GoComics opens up – so I missed signing in before going to sleep. At least I got a good night’s sleep. I just made oatmeal, but can’t eat for another hour as I took my morning thyroid pill. In another 4 hours I can take my calcium supplements as calcium cancels out the effects of the thyroid medicine within the 1st 4 hours.
Hola: I posted a movie comment (or two) over at Foxtrot Espanol today. I’m a movie buff – used to belong to a group that viewed & discussed foreign & classic films and really enjoyed my HUM: 254 Introduction to Film Criticism at Nova U. back in the late 80s. For that course we had to see and write a review of 3 movies a week—one was watched in class and the prof. required that one be seen in a theater. For the final exam we viewed and then wrote a review of “The Year of Living Dangerously” (M. Gibson & S. Weaver). Something interesting happened on the first night of that course, however – two female students complained and withdrew after we saw the film “Montenegro” (Susan Anspach).Montenegro
Starting to get our house in order………….My Mountain Man’s Sister and her husband are arriving on Monday. Woo Hoo! We set up a queen sized bed in the library. Since it is downstairs, they will have complete privacy, with the theatre room and complete bathroom, and a mini kitchen. That way if they want to stay up late (they’ll be on Calif. time) it won’t be a problem.
This will be their first time up here. Too bad we have such smokey air! We did have 2 days in a row with clear air. But, it’s back today. Bummer.
I just read that Kathy Bates had a double mastectomy! What a fighter she is! Glad she didn’t have to undergo chemo. Loved her in Harry’s Law.
I’m up to page 46 – 62 pages more to go – in my family tree – I put 2 cousins on the wrong line, so I’ll either do that page over again or put VHS label paper over my error (white out is messy) – when I make an error, I feel it’s time to take a break.
Okay. Sorry abouit the story coming so late. I was so distracted by facebook I even forgot to eat. Hopefully, the mental rush is ebbing now.>>>>>>Here is my little fun story…One of the people I was told to ask to be a friend of was named Candace. I knew who she was.She sent me a message wanting to know why I was asking her to be a friend. I told her she had been highly recommended to me. She looked at “my” friends, then asked why were so many of her family and friends there on my page. “Who are you”, she wanted to know.I asked her, (messages going back and forth) asked her if a name (her maiden name) meant anything to her.In the next message she said she had asked her mother and gotten the story. Her last line? “You’re my daddy’s uncle!”My answer to that was, "You just nhave to ask the right question to the right person. :-)
From now on, I wont be coming back to GC every couple of hours to see if there’s any new posts. They were rare.I will still read my comics every night, and try to remember to submit my “Good mornings”.

Starting to get our house in order………….My Mountain Man’s Sister and her husband are arriving on Monday. Woo Hoo! We set up a queen sized bed in the library.
