Reminds me of my youth — drinking Kool-Aid and buzzing around the neighborhood. Then the Kool-aid turned electric and the buzzing turned into getting buzzed — oh so many years ago – but that’s probably a different comic strip! But don’t worry, I grew up and turned out okay! There’s alot of Arlo in me!

AshburnStadium,I like to think of myself as a hard working, ring around the collar, kind of guy. More of a gatorade or crystal-lite drinking guy. More on the apolitical side.

MIL has one of those feeders on her front porch. DH sits out there to visit with his brother sometimes. He said the hummingbirds will come hover right in front of your face and chirp because they think you’re too close to the goods.

@RubyRedRingI’ve always found the second use of the Kool-Aid expression both morbid and offensive. It makes light of a tragedy that, while 30+ years old, is still fresh in many peoples’ minds. Granted, most people, especially those under 40, may not know the etymology, but I’ve heard the phrase used by people, including many in the media and politics, who should know better. #SoapboxModeOff

“Knock down the Jello shots” has a much more civilized tone to it.

@Tay CI used to color mine red by making a concoction of corn sugar and fresh strawberries. The hummers would, literally, fight to get to it.

I’ve been mistaken for wild flowers while sitting outside in a colorful or tye-died shirt. It’s amazing to have them so close you could touch them. It’s also a little unnerving, as they are rather loud.

I am aware of that
