    I’m gonna miss ol’ Ludwig when Arlo and Janis set sail on the…

    WELL, SHIVER ME TIMBERS, THEY HAVEN’T NAMED THE SCHOONER!

    That’ll be a week-long story in and of itself. Will they name it after Janis, or after one of Arlo’s clever turns of phrase?

    Finally on Friday, Meg will blurt out the perfect name and that’ll be that. Saturday’s strip will have some beach artist painting ithe new name on the stern, much to Meg’s (and everyone’s) joy.

    Where’s his little kitty TV tuned to animal planet? Come on, he’s got a little kitty lawn chair for Christ’s sake! TV too much to ask? I don’t think so….

    You can also wipe down cats with a damp washcloth if it’s hot. They might look at you funny the first few times, but they come to appreciate it.

    @Varnes

    he would have his TV tuned to Jon Stewards Daily Show but his carrier is Direct TV and Viacon is trying to bilk Direct TV subscribers out of their money and has forced Direct TV to drop Comity Central …. or is it just me

    Our little 7 pounder has the ASPCA on speed dial. Last week the air conditioner wasn’t keeping up and she busted me on it —so $3000 later she’s living the dream. We wouldn’t trade her for the world!!!

    I’m guessing Luddie will be right there on the schooner, acting the role of ship’s cat…

    I have only seen one cat pant. That was in Phoenix on a 116-degree day.

    I’m not getting the strip. I get (32-hexit hexadecimal number)?width=900. Anyone else have this problem?

    I don’t see it either, trying the magnify button or the ‘print comic’ button doesn’t help.

    Thanks, Tony. GoComics seems to be having a bit of trouble getting comic images to appear the past couple of days.

    In hot weather when we let our cats out for their supervised walks, they tend to head for the garage’s cement pad as a cool shady place to hang out and watch the world.

    We live on several acres and are set back from the road a good city block so we don’t have to supervise them too closely. We can garden and stuff while they’re out with us.

    My Maine Coon likes to stretch out near the air conditioner. My other cat, a domestic shorthair, curls up in front of the refrigerator so he can catch the warm air the compressor pours out. Two completely different reactions to the weather.
