No, no! “Annie Fanny” was a VERY different kind of strip.

    (So was Wanda, ah, memories!)

Apt buildings have dormers and sloped roofs like a house? Or are they visiting Lila’s Moms house?

Reminds me of the girl who confessed she lied AFTER they executed the women convicted in the Salem witch trials. Not that this is the same. It just reminds me.

Nice sleuthing, Agent54. The illustrator made a mistake with the roof. Usually, Annie hangs out on the rooftop of Lila’s apartment building, which is flat and has a view of Lakewood/Cleveland.

We didn’t have time to change it, so hoped readers wouldn’t notice…but, of course, you did :-)

Annie’s not as good of a businessperson as I thought. She had to bribe Mrs. Henley to tell Matthew about Trace? I would have thought Mrs. Henley would have been willing to tell Matthew for free.

I love Annie, but she needs to butt out. Sometimes you have to let people make mistakes as that’s the only way to grow from them. Unless he is an abuser, there’s no way that marriage to Matthew would have been a worse mistake than marrying Tad and yet Drew is doing just fine.

The look on Lila’s face says, “And the biggest mistake of your life will be coming back in this house.”

I try to see this from Annie’s point of view. She knows how short life can be. Anything Lila does effects Annie and her life. Why would she want Lila to make such a big mistake? A marriage of convenience would not be a happy life for Annie or Lila. Besides she already has one crappy gramma to deal with, the last thing she needed is the manipulating old bat that hates her mom.

That’s the worse place to make such a confession, little girl.

It’s sad what happened to Annie. That tragic fall off the roof. Poor girl didn’t have a chance.
