Well, THERE’S a narrow view. As opposed to the tens of millions of Americans who will now be covered, and whose lives will be saved. And incidentally, it covers birth control so we don’t get unwanted children. EXCEPT…with faith-based employers who object. Like the Catholic Church.
Irish, you are sick, twisted, and misinformed. Isn’t there a commandment about bearing false witness? And don’t Catholics give a damn about needless deaths among the poor and the sick anymore? A true Christian would rejoice at this decision, for the very reason given in the cartoon. I guess abortion and gay marriage are the only things left in the world that are worthy of God’s concern, given how much Jesus said on those two topics.
68% of Americans didn’t like the ‘universal mandate’, and that was before it was called a TAX . . .. 62% didn’t like 0bama-care with or without the mandate, again, before it was discovered that its a TAX . . . ..From Chief Justice’s opinion:Members of this Court are vested with the authority to interpret the law; we possess neither the expertise nor the prerogative to make policy judgments. Those decisions are entrusted to our Nation’s elected leaders, who can be thrown out of office if the people disagree with them. It is not our job to protect the people from the consequences of their political choices.
Got a sick kid? Want them to die because Mitt sent your job to China and you can’t get health insurance? Vote Mitt! Think about it!!
Now, if we could also get non-profit controlled “single payer”, which Mitt and the conservatives object to, that would be even better, but that would cut their “political partners” profits.
