The problem is that the nuns won’t go along. Why they even refuse bribes, so what is left but threats?

The average nun in the US is roughly seventy-five years of age, but most of them are gutsier and more principled than the whole College of Cardinals put together.I’m still waiting for proper penance for those responsible for the child sexual abuse here in Boston. They took the Cardinal and moved him to the Vatican to get him away from the cops. Yes, Cardinal Law is on the lam. And whaddya know — he’s been linked to the crackdown on nuns, so this cartoon is absolutely spot on.http://www.telegram.com/article/20120505/NEWS/120509663

" nearly 8 in 10 victims were “post-pubescent” males. Which, of course, means we are dealing with homosexuality, not pedophilia. "- -Eddie, if you had a post-pubescent 13-14 year old son who was raped by an atheist, Lutheran or anyone else that spew hatefulness at on these threads, would you call it homosexuality, not pedophilia?

Regardless of your attempts to redefine the abuse, it is, without question, RAPE. Did you get that? And where is the penance?

Some reforms. Many of the pedos were transfered to new churches out of country. They should have been kicked out of the priesthood and locked up, but the church decided to sweep it under the rug. No amount of “good” you claim the church does, can make up for the evil they have allowed.

In other words not allowing freedom of thought or speech: kind of like the Speaker of the House in the State of Michigan this week. Sounds like Orwell’s 1984, Yes master. I hear you and I will obey!

There are none so blind as baby killing liberals who claim it is only tissue matter.

Even if we accept your premise that abortion is a form of murder, it in no way excuses the behavior of the priests or of the hierarchy that shielded them from the consequences of their actions. Two wrongs don’t cancel each other out.

The Catholic Church senior leadership isn’t about ministering God’s word or improving the lives of its followers. It’s about preserving the power and authority of the Church. They’ve demonstrated this time and time again for well over 1000 years. The Church’s actions in the many underage sex scandals are only the latest reminder. The Church hierarchy is a hemorrhoid on the ass of humanity.

What makes you think I am pro-abortion? Although I might be persuaded in the case of retroactive use.

Eddie, you are unbelievable. Someday I hope to think for yourself, instead of the pope doing it for you.
