    And they’re usually found around parking lots (car parks for the Brits). We call those parking gulls.

    They are all around the parking lots here. I’m in Winston-Salem NC…about 4 hours from the ocean.

    They’re all over southern Saskatchewan too. S everal species of gulls are commonly found inland.

    That’s not a sea gull, that’s a crow in disguise! Crows go "CAW, sea gulls make a much more musical sound.

    Since the “really bad snows” we had here in the Pittsburgh area a few years ago we would get flocks that would fly down from Lake Erie and park themselves in the Giant Eagle (supermarket) parking lot near my house,by day going Lord knows where at night…..Now years later we have our own permanent flock near the Mon river near Sandcastle water park along with about a dozen Canadian Geese.

    The proper pronunciation for a sea gull’s cry is “Mine!” Have none of you seen that wonderful documentary, Finding Nemo?
