Rose is Rose presents the extraordinary nature of everyday life as seen through the eyes of the Gumbo family. The strip stars child-at-heart Rose and her ASD (Attentiveness Surplus Disorder) husband Jimbo. Their gentle son Pasquale is watched over by his Guardian Angel who morphs from tiny cherub into gargantuan protector. Family kitten Peekaboo boasts that her humans are the cutest in town. Readers relish the romance in Rose and Jimbo's marriage, yet cheer the emergence of Rose's rebel alter ego, the fearless, wild and ready-to-roll Vicki the Biker

Cat’s don’t tangle with seagulls for a reason… They lose

@The Nihilist:
Not necessarily true. Some cats are too lazy to tangle.

An old urban legend says to feed Alka-Seltzer to a seagull. I wouldn’t actually do it, though…

Wait a second…I thought Rose said yesterday that the Gull was a long way from the Ocean! How did Peekaboo get there by herself?
Maybe this is a pier on a lake somewhere close??

It’s parallel universes like two dimensional beings living on sheets of newspaper laid on top of the previous.

My cats are fascinated by gulls – and Peekaboo had better be wary. (My only problem with the strip the past couple of days is that gulls don’t “caw”, crows and ravens do that….)

My sister had a cat who used to lie on its back in the yard, and if a gull flew down to inspect it, he’d wrap up the gull and give it what fer.

@Betty Devine
Right! As I said yesterday, it’s not really a sea gull, it’s a crow in disguise. Explains why it’s so far from the ocean.

@OldestandWisest Gulls are everywhere. They don’t just stay by the ocean. You would branch out too if you could fly!
