You probably can’t sleep, Charlie Brown, because you’re wearing your hat in bed.

It’s when you really want to sleep that it’s impossible. I first learned this when I got the bright idea of going to bed early on Christmas Eve. These days, insomnia can make me climb the walls. I’ve even tried telling myself I have to stay awake all night. That doesn’t work, either. Rats.

It’s a good thing Chuck was only playing baseball. If it had been football, think of how uncomfortable he’d be if he had worn his football helmet to bed.

You’re a good man, Charlie Brown, but with all of this negative self-talk, you’re setting yourself up for major depression. Everyone makes mistakes, Buddy, and some people have to hunt and hunt before they find what they’re really good at. I know you really care about baseball and being good at it. Just remember: Abraham Lincoln wasn’t very successful early in life, but he became one of our most important and successful presidents...That’ll be five cents, please.

Some people who comment on these COMICS seem to have issues…..

I can sleep great on days I have to be up at 6am for work, I could even sleep in till 10 am on those days, however if its a day I don’t go to work I can’t sleep in at all.

I couldn’t sleep either when I letted my baseball team down once too Charlie Brown.

I feel that way a lot, Charlie Brown. But then I get over it in about a day or two.

These are signs of clinical depression. Chuck should go see Lucy, or a shrink that wasn’t on his team.

This is about as pathetic as I’ve seen CB, unless maybe it’s on the playground when fawning over the little red haired girl.

Why is it that a storyline that is 30 years old is better than 90% of the rest of today’s strips? Long live Charlie Brown! We have all been there.

“I shouldn’t ever try to do anything.” Despite his failures and the mocking of others, he DOES try and he tries his hardest. And that’s why people like Charlie Brown.

I’m sure the first job for Charlie Brown’s therapist will be undoing the damage done by his previous psychiatrist. That Dr. Van Pelt is a real quack!
