Three years and no budget . . . . the first two of which 0bama had sizable majorities in both houses . . . . 0bama votes yet again PRESENT . . ., as in a vegetable, albeit a very intelligent one.

The Senate needs 60 votes so the problem is not Obama.

60 Votes?? He got 0. Not a single vote from either side. He was working with a majority in both houses for two years. He doesn’t want a budget. That would would make him accountable for his actions.

The republicans won’t vote for a plan that raises taxes on their elite constituents; democrats won’t vote for the drastic cuts that fall on the middle-class, that Obama’s plan uses to attempt to appease the republicans.

The righties on this forum arrive at the conclusion, that Obama should have had more tax increases and less cuts, to get democratic votes.

    I agree.

“Harry Ried won’t let the one from the republican house on the floor "

That’s a distortion of the facts. They voted against lengthy debates, but the senate did vote.

“In repeated votes, Democrats who control the chamber defeated four Republican proposals, including a plan that passed the House in March.”“Indeed, four Republicans joined all 53 Democrats in voting down all of the options”

Senate votes down 4 GOP budgets

You should get your facts straight before you accuse others of being stoned.

How can we block the budget if it only requires 51 votes?

What really gets me is that “conservatives” and especially the TEA party types, have NO CLUE how the federal budget process works! But, like Lisa, they’ll spout steam and fury, while gagging on the leaves. (Yeah, I know nothing about the process, only working on those budgets and proposals for 32 years.)

Actually, it isn’t 0bama that is dumb – its those that allow themselves to be fooled by this manipulator -in-chief.

Since when is a tax increase off the table when it is just what we need to help pay down the debt?

“Fairness as defined by Dem Libs”

What do you consider “fair?” Maybe it would be fair if every person over 21 pays a set amount, say around $5000.It would be a terrible hardship for the poor, but what could be fairer than everyone paying the same amount.

Now do the math… how much revenue would that be?

eryx how come other potus got budgets that major basis came from their budget but bho will not put one up that is worthy of even being talked about — you said “no Congress creature wants to be on record for voting for a budget that will never be enacted” = false house has voted out several such budgets
