She knows the good doc is also wrong, but she at least is going along with the marriage in some kind of misguided attempt to provide for herself and Annie.
On current showing, Trace is far too egocentric to be a suitable partner, even for Lila. We have not been privy to the charm or skill that led to her hopping into the sack with him, but presumably her judgement on both occasions was clouded by alcohol. It would seem that he’s got a lot of work to do before a sober Lila might be tempted. And how might Annie fit into their relationship?
Honest? I like Trace. Lila doesn’t have any business expecting perfection. And whatever magnetic pull lands her in the sack with him (however wrong that may be) has nothing to do with superficial looks or charm.
What’d I say about violence? At least Lila (the star of the show) and Trace agree. It’s too often the case: the one who stands up to a bully or aggressor with violence will be the one who gets caught and punished. Bullies one, victim -1. Violence only begets violence. I see that kid burning with vengeance on his mind. Yup. Annie will learn her lesson and have to find another school. I know. It’s just a comic. And my opinion means nothing.
