in OUR area, carriers walk over seven miles a day with those packs, literally in snow, rain, sleet, and “dark of day” in winter, to make their appointed rounds, in spite of nasty dogs, and drivers on cell phones trying to mow them down. In summer it’s HOT! I challenge any of the “complainers” to do their job for a week and then complain. MY only real gripe is that their FEHB program does only require half the contribution as the rest of feds (like those who hang off cliffs on rescues, fight fire, or face down “bad guys” in law enforcement), and they get better benefits, like lower deductibles.
I’d rather see the private sector start adding benefits, than advocate taking them away from public servants. The private individual insurance market is neither free or fair.

Don’t give the networks any ideas! TV is bad enough here already!
