Well not all mental illnesses are created homicidal. Sure believing that smurfs exists means that you are mentally ill. (Unless you are six years old.) That is not the same as believing that smurfs exist and you have to kill people to keep them happy…

While most mental illness create problems for the sufferers and their family the effects on society are not necessarily immediately noticeable.

Why does religion have to be brought into this discussion? Mental illness is not a matter of religion but a chemical imbalance in the brain.
