If Arlo Guthrie were ever asked to play a concert at a military base, he might accept, but he’d be the first to point out the irony.
A “chickenhawk” is someone who will move heaven and earth to avoid being sent to combat himself, but once he’s out of danger supports the wars which send other young men off to die. Ted Nugent fits that description. Arlo Guthrie does not.
