    Do you mean the oldest surviving cities? Because Tenochtitlan (where Mexico City now stands), was older and grander by far when the Spaniards came to destroy it.

    In America! You can say THE Americas, or Latin, Central, South, or North America. But America by itself means the U.S.A. Why is that so hard?

    The oldest city in what is now the US was Cahokia, which at its peak had a population greater than Paris or London at the same time.
