    Oh give me a break. The facts are that the colleges make more money off the Football and Basketball players than any value of the “basket weaving” degrees that the atheletes get. You will never see the end of College football or basketball there is just too much money in it. The rules are set up to ensure the colleges have a pool of talent to draw on. What is needed is a way to ensure athelete has an insurance of some amount of money when they leave college. Maybe an escrow account they get if they are injured in college. Now days if a star blows out his knees, the college basically gives him a hearty handshake.

    One suggestion I’ve heard is an escrow account to be paid only when they graduate (whether they are injured or not). This makes a lot of sense. What makes NO sense is multi-millionaire coaches who never learned how to ride a motorcycle without crashing all over their illicit lovers (and careers………)
