You’re a plugger if your 91 year old Mother still has a rotary dial phone!

Is that even possible??

the best part after speed dialing WI7-9999 there was a Hello! as an answer, not some I hear such as; yeah, hay, what, or please leave a message. Speed dial now has speed greeting or none.

oh yeaaaah. …. I forgot all about that.you kinda used your finger to hurry the dial back to the start so you could dial the next number….seems like it took forEVer for the dial to return after you dialed an eight or a nine or a zero

Do you remember the dial-in’s for the Radio, when they would say i’ll take the 3rd caller! Boy that was something, to dial fast and get!

Me thinks if you are a plugger you still have a rotary phone but have memory issues and can no longer remember how to dial it.

Just because people know how to make noise in my house from miles away doesn’t mean I have to be nice to them whenever they decide to invade.

My dad still has a rotary phone. I had to show my niece how it works.

Once Touch-Tone was introduced, the old relay-based switching was replaced, and speeding up the dial’s return was very helpful.

On the other hand, you only had to dial seven numbers back then – as recently as the 1980s, those in one-exchange towns, you only needed the last number of the exchange and the four of the individual line – no area code needed at all, even in big cities, unless it was long distance.

Ugh, I remember my grandfather was so cheap, they had a party line into the early 80’s.

First time I used a touch tune was Sept. 71. Thought I was in tall cotton!
