“START” was only a start, supported by many Republicans as well, who today are fighting tooth and nail to prop up profits in “defense”. The technology being argued on introducing more missiles into Europe is also already obsolete anyway. But, yes, once “election madness” is gone, there will be more flexibility on many issues, once necons don’t have to impair all progress to make “political challenge” more important than American progress.
