There comes a time when you have to stop being childish, but I hope there is never a time when you have to stop being childlike.

I go along with the adage: Growing older is mandatory. Growing up is optional.

Earl has gotten ALL of his money’s worth. Opal & friend still await the “sense of humor” and “free spirit” portions.

my wife and i now buy toys and anything we want. screw what other people think. that’s maturity: when you realize your happiness is what’s important. she wanted her Little Mermaid, and her TinkerBell Fairies bed sets, and she got ’em. off course, that entitled me to my SpongeBob set.

Age is a state of mind… AND think of the alternative.

Early in our marriage, my ex-husband got upset because I put a box of Sugar Pops Cereal into our shopping cart. Wow, little did I know that somewhere there is a RULE that you cannot buy or eat KID’S cereal once you become an adult. I still haven’t found that rule book and I’m still eating Corn Pops (their new name now). Don’t get me started on the other so-called rules. Apparently there is only one way to fold bath towels.

Just for completion sake. The author of the quote is Tom Stoppard, the greatest living playwright in the English language. He also won an Oscar for Shakespeare in Love.

beviek, when you fold fitted sheets, you need to be standing up. Find a pocket and put it into the pocket on the other side of the sheet. Two pockets should be tucked into each other. Lay the whole thing down on the bedspread and fold the bottom up. Then fold up again. Bring one pocketed corner over to the other pocketed corner and then fold again. This should be small enough to fit inside of the folded flat sheet that has this same decor.

When this subject came up a little bit ago, it was really hard for me not to put my 2 cents in about how to fold fitted sheets.
