You boys don’t get it. If Iran is allowed to develop nuclear weapons, then we might as well say goodbye to the Human Race. Am I the only one who saw the end of the movie “Wargames” —the part where the computer simulates what happens when the nukes get fired? It seems so….

The United States has about 5,500 nuclear warheads.Iran probably doesn’t have one.Republicans are a greater threat to peace.

If Iran gets the bomb, then Saudi Arabia will be next. Once the Saudis get the bomb, everybody in the Middle-East will have to have one. That is not a good plan for the future safety of the world.

The GOP people (Cheney is the latest… what credibility does HE have?) have been complaining that Obama is soft. Ask them what they’d do, and it’s what Obama is doing already. Thank God McCain didn’t win in 2008.

I think it’s just great how the current political process has devolved into a series of flat out demented accusations whenever anyone tries to do anything, and no one can detatch themselves from their party loyalties long enough to think for themselves.

I know it’s entirely possible that people ARE thinking for themselves when they back the plays of the empty, inane babbling and hateful rhetoric, but that is honestly scarier than Iran’s nukes to me.

I have been to the front lines of the “wars we want.” That’s why I can say, with 100% certainty, that the only form of diplomacy some people understand is violence. My concern is our country and its leaders can’t discern who those are. You cannot reason with zealots. Period. And Himari, I agree. Our political process as switched from respectful discourse to outright vicious attacking, on both sides. It needs to end.
