False teeth are a weapon (?). Hence, aggravated assault. But, girls, which of you has false teeth?

Gaijinrabbit, so sorry to hear that—As a result of my most recent (but probably not last) layoff, I finally enrolled in a doctoral program and moved back to where we could be close to my wife’s family, which turned out to be very good things. Not that I had an inkling of that at the time—Won’t easily forget the look of panic on my wife’s face when I told her.

Re: The Russian alphabet on the blog—when my daughter was just learning to talk, she loved Baby Einstein videos, one of which featured a series of alphabets, including Russian. My wife couldn’t figure out why our daughter walked around singing “eh-yu-ya”—then we realized she was singing “Э Ю Я”. Now I wish I had taught all three of our kids at least rudimentary Russian (which is about my level, anyway)…

@Gaijinrabbit, since I spend most of my time against the same wall (I just do it over Skype), I’d be interested in chatting with you offline. Do you have a throwaway email address at which I could write you?

Re: GOLDFINCHESOne of those things is not like the others. It’s not the best pictured for identification, but that one on the right appears to be a House Finch.

I would not be adverse to these three semi-naked ladies doing some gentle nibbling.

That law only applies in Louisiana. Any other state – natural teeth, false teeth, no difference. In Rhode Island, it’s illegal to bite off someone’s leg, and in Vermont it’s illegal for a woman to wear false teeth without their husband’s written ermission (I wonder what single women do). Most of those laws are probably not on the books anymore anyway.
