Oh, well…. I’m not concerned about the very poor — they have their safety nets.

Well, the Republicans, like Maire Antoinette have lost their heads but due continue to mindlessly wander around…at least till the November voters give them that final push into their political graves.

According to Jon Stewart, a Romney is a unit of time. 3 1/2 hours which is how long it took after one statement to take the opposite position.

Gas prices are controlled by the gas companies, oil producing nations (OPEC) and oil speculators. To which of these groups does Obama belong?

“[But] cake she was talking about is a residue left on the walls of the oven after baking.”

Uhhh… “Let them eat charcoal?” “Let them eat soot?” That’s better? Do you have any idea how bread is made, or what happens inside a bread oven, either now or 250 years ago?I didn’t think so. Neither does Mitt.

Bread is pretty basic; it’s “the staff of life.” Not every culture makes its cereal grains into bread, but where they do they’ll make bread before they make anything else. If they run out of bread, they’ve pretty much run out of everything.

Nothing is better than a steak dinner.A crust of stale bread is better than nothing. Therefore, a crust of stale bread is better than a steak dinner.

Maybe I missed something, somewhere and somehow. I don’t see what this cartoon has to do with Obama and gas prices. As my 1st post indicates, I interpreted it as Romney’s lack of concern for the “very poor.”

With regard to Marie Antoinette, there is no evidence that she ever said this. The French is: “Qu’ils mangent de la brioche.” The quotation appears in Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s Confessions and is attributed to “a great princess.” BTW, “brioche” is not exactly “cake”: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brioche
