At least somebody has the foresight and courage to work on developing and creating other energy sources. The World, let alone this Nation, cannot continue on an oil-coal based economy as (1) oil runs out & (2) the environment, esp. on coal, will bring down life—due to planet warming and acidification of the Oceans—as we know it.

We are literally living on a planet that is an analogy of Superman’s Home planet Krypton and we, or at least a large number of our politicians, like the Kryptonite’s on Krypton are in denial of what Scientist know and are trying to warn us about—in the strongest possible terms—that we too are in emanate danger of annihilation and must act now or it will be too late. We, unlike the Kryptonite’s who could transport themselves to a new home on another planet, do not have that luxury. What we do have is the wisdom, technical knowledge and ability to save ourselves by taking the necessary actions to change our current energy dependence on oil and coal; the primary contributors to the current radicle climate change that is now taking place and is an emanate threat to all life. So, we have the wisdom, knowledge, and ability…but will we find the “will” to take the actions required to prevent—what will surely be if we do not act—another environmental apocalypse on this little spaceship that is our Home and our’ Mother Earth.

Algae has far more promise as biofuel than corn ethanol, or for that matter any fermentation of ethanol. The destruction caused by “getting” most of the oil shale FAR exceeds the benefit. Unless we start serious conservation and alternative energy production, NO amount of “reserves” will keep up with our “demand”. Art Linkletter said “People are Funny”. Current “republicans” and “conservatives” prove “Some People ARE STUPID”!

Cons were fine with it when they offered it as a solution.

Aaah, Kryptonite algae, being smarter and wiser than earthlings, would probably take one look at us and exclaim, “Holy Mergatroid!* they’re no smarter than Kryptonite’s fighting amongst themselves while their home is going up in flames around them.”Want to know about algae’s very promising potentials? Please stop talking as if you have any idea whatsoever what you’re talking about. There are people who actually study science who can take care of this. Seriously, you should let them. (They’re the “grown-ups” in the room I’m always talking about.)
