Raymond was hit by lightning… he’s a combined green ship guy and a dog who was left with the pirates…. took a while for things to settle down. (happened a looong time ago)

Does anyone remember when Overboard actually started? It’s been around a while because I’ve been reading since around 2003ish I believe. LOVE this srip. Louie reminds me so much of my late, great dog Pooh in so many ways! I can’t tell you how many times I have said after reading “Yep, that’s my Pooh alright!”

Raymond and Louie – both dogs – are closer together on the ‘developmental scale’ than Disney’s Goofy and Pluto… Goofy talks and not only wears a hat but clothes and shoes, while we don’t get any ‘thought baloons in English’ from Pluto… Just an observation.

Drop the mice and bring back Seahawk

Actually there was a story about how Raymond ended up the way he did. According to him he was a regular dog until the day one of his shipmates took him for a walk in the rain and they ended up getting struck by lightning. Raymond pointed out the shipmate who was happily sitting on all fours and trying to scratch a flea with his right leg. originally he was a member of the green ship but he hasn’t been back since he and Louie started hanging out together.
