    Cafe Wha? brings back many memories of my rebellious youth. An interesting little tidbit is that it was owned by Manny Roth who was the uncle of David Lee Roth.

    Re Blog: River stones held in place by rebar cages to form walls and small dams are used a lot in AZ. River stone and other rock is plentiful, and I think it’s much quicker to build this way than to use mortar.

    Drinkers did not cause organized crime; they merely enabled it. What caused organized crime was the do-gooder’s totalitarian tactics which denied human nature and started this whole idea of Government Nanny State to protect us from ourselves. Bah! Self-righteous prigs!

    That Dick Tracy radio reminds me that my son (about 22 years ago, when he was ten or so) and I built a germanium diode receiver out of some copper wire, a toilet paper roll, and some assorted crap that was lying around the house, just to show him that it could be done. Worked, too.

    Huh! Fishnet Friday came on Sunday this week! :o)Green tree pythons – neat! (baby tapir too)The comments are so voluminous these days that when some lame-ass comment-to-add strikes me when viewing FB, I throw duplication to the wind and just go for it….If, on further exploration I find it’s a oner, well, it’s even lamer; so it goes….
