The clergy of many of the early religions required that for a women to be eligible for marriage that she 1st had to be “Properly” examined by one of the clergy (Father “Whoever”). Given enough political power & protection, all things good or bad are possible, even in America. So know well for whom you vote; least you find yourself receiving things you had not wanted or voted for when you did cast your vote. A reality in America is, given such power and opportunity, that there are many fundamentalist religious groups that would “righteously,” (in their mind), usurp democratic power and establish a totalitarian theocracy in America.

Indeed. They can throw out this extreme nonsense, all to cover the fact that they are for infanticide. No other nation on earth is as extreme in their allowance for abortion at ANY time during pregnancy. Obama himself is against live babies receiving care if they weren’t killed during an abortion. There is no truer political statement than the United State’s Democratic Party is the Party of Death.

Another fact is that your government wants to dictate what people of faith will do if they employ people, and in forcing them to pay for medical services that are against their convictions. That is fascistic. You cannot get more Nazi-like than Obama’s attack upon Christianity.

Personally, I am sick and tired of my tax money being spent on sex and that is what happens whenever any one of those yahoo legislators proposes some new bill to restrict abortion, gay marriage, etc.

Would “Sharia Santorum” also ban insurance payments for Viagra, currently covered? Would he also demand a “theological examiner” conduct those ultrasounds to make sure they don’t rely on “science-based heretics”?

THe “Christian” taliban is already here. When men wan’t to deny women access to birth control and make them submit to a vagina penetrating sonogram, then it really is here.

Word of wisdom to women. do NOT vote republican. They DON’T like us. They DON’T like our kids either, they want to tear down the schools. They do like our fetuses until they are born, however.

heard that virginia is going to pass this law to ultrasound the baby(fetus) to see its face, even if the mother does not want to do it, and totally medically unnecessary. no written consent. but, the ultrasound isn’t the tummy swipe, but a transvaginal probe. which may mean a doctor may be charged with a sexual crime. and, the law was drafted not by doctors.

That’s an awful lot of spin to say Obama is pro infanticide. The debate on partial birth abortion is more political than anything else, I’ll admit that. However, the specific bills that were being debated both left no provision for extreme circumstances or protecting the life of the mother. Specifically, Obama was trying to block a bill which left the doctor or medical facility open to prosecution for conducting a life saving procedure (eg. an accident victim whose bodily trauma would make a full term pregnancy birth fatal to the birth mother simply to save a fetus which still may not survive). The debate is much deeper and more complicated than that, but my response was to the assertion that in blocking bills of dubious intent Obama is pro infanticide. This is a very common political trick used by both sides (wagging the dog). Imagine presenting a bill that was publicized as providing the highest rated body armor to all US combat troops, but attaching a rider that said all non-Christian religions were hereby outlawed on penalty of death. Opposing it without mentioning the extreme rider would be fuel for one side to say the other did not want the best for our troops. I know that scenario is extreme and imaginary, but politicians use that tactic all the time on both sides to kill bills and blame it on the other, knowing that 99.9% of the public will not read the bill but will get their opinion from their television.
