CB should check the house and find the blanket lying there. He’d correctly deduce that it’s all in Lucy’s head. Too bad he doesn’t do this and realize he’s better off than Lucy, and get a big boost in his confidence. Love this thread though.
Funny thing is, Lucy is a psychiatrist. I guess she forgot about that. She could have psychoanalyzed the blanket, to determine why it had a hostility complex. lol
I’m a professional translator, particularly for medical/psychiatric/psychological work. I have known many of them professionally, and a handful personally.
This is totally believable. Every Psych or Soc teacher I ever had in school was at least a little, uhhh, “off-center.” Except for Mrs. Stevenson, who seemed pretty well-adjusted…the rest of ’em were cast from a Carlos Castaneda hallucination.
Hey Lucy! They’re coming to take you away aha! To the Happy Home, where flowers bloom, and birds chirp, and basket weavers twiddle their thumbs and smile!

Most of the psychiatrists I have known were more cracked than the majority of their patients. That would explain Lucy’s little booth.

LOL! Compared to the latter period of the strip’s run, this is totally inspired.
I’m sure Chuck thought he’d be the first one (it probably would take only one more kite eaten by one more tree to do it).

I REALLY hope Tim Burton doesn’t make a movie based on this particular story line. That would be really messed up and disturbing.
