Oh well, being a genius sounds like too much work anyway. I think I’ll wolf down a quarter pounder and go take a nap.

I’ve had a little think about my comment earlier re Hitler and vegetarians and realized that it was completely unacceptable to make such an unjustified and unpleasant generalisation and I apologise without reservation. I will now remove that comment. I’ll leave the one that replies to jukeofurl.

There goes my favorite bashing-use story…that Hitler ravaged vegetables. I must check this out. Hitler NOT a cocaine-sniffing, prancing, cruel, arrogant, celebrity-seeking murdering vegetarian? the mind boggle-eth. Doggone it.

The only aggravation against good sense that Hitler didn’t perform was…he didn’t prance wearing biking spandex.

Snopes says that Hitler was a vegetarian because he had gastric problems.

If God didn’t want us to eat animals he wouldn’t have made them out of meat!!!! or nearly so tasty!

Bucky has a legitimate question, here. Mark Twain was happily omnivorous. He out-and-out fantasizes about eating fried chicken and porter-house steak. He gets snarky about people who carve their poultry wrong. Granted, he loved animals, but that love was at least partially gastronomical in nature.

Hitler was really truly a vegetarian as were the true Nazi believers – Rudolf Hess was very strict eating only organic. There are academic research on vegetarianism in the western culture. The idea is moral superiority – vegetarians think they are morally superior – hence it has been widely adopted by fascists in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Plato and Socrates ate meat (lamb, goat, beef) and fish. So much for accuracy.

I am a proud Meatatarian. Vegetarians have only vegetables at meal time, I have been known to have meals consisting of only Meat. Meat is delicious, meat rules. Go meat!!!!
