One of the poorest tactics is to weaken the military during times of peace. We are currently at war in Afghanistan, and still need to advance our military’s ability to fight the next generation of warfare. This always costs money, but it is necessary to maintain our country’s security. BTW, the islamic jihadis have not ceased their war against us, either, despite our administration’s refusal to acknowledge them as our #! threat.
