It’s hard to picture a world without Kodak.

kodak…couldn’t keep up. they were still making film when digital was everywhere. they lost the digital race, when phones could make photos. i’m surprised that they lasted this long and not merged with another company, maybe bain capital.

Technology claims another victim.

actually blind mismanagement. guess what? movie theatres don’t use digital—-someones still making film, and whoever is supplying it to movie filmmakers (so THAT’s why they call them that…) is still in business making money somewhere. but, yeah, itsureshell ain’t kodak.

The golden rule of Darwinian capitalism is "adapt or die. If your company cannot adapt to modern changes, it will not be competitive and will fold, like Circuit City, Borders, and countless others. Unless you are in the oil or US auto industry, and then you convince everybody else that change is bad and ignore the rest of the world as they make progress…

Actually Kodak was a tremendous innovator in the digital field just didn’t carry it forward properly.

Adapt or die.

And sent buggy whip manufacturing down the tubes.
