How about Mr. Flip-Flopper?

@leftwingpatriot, don’t forget about the other Mr. Flip-Flopper, Newt Gingrich.

One could call Mitt Mr. 13.9 Percent for the taxes he paid.

Roland’s question does raise an interesting point: How can a CAREER-long period of time be LIMITED? æThe Presidency is already term-limited, to a max of 8 years. [Franklin Delano Roosevelt was elected to serve 16 years (4 terms), though he actually served only 12 years and a few months, due to his untimely death, and the limit was added afterward]. Romney was governor of Massachusetts for only one term; he decided not to seek a second. One term of governorship in Massachusetts lasts 4 years. But the State does not limit the number of times one person can run for governor. Hedley’s question is not a “cheap shot”. Why did Romney choose not to answer it? Why did he choose rather to attack Roland for calling him “governor”? Why does Romney consider that a" cheap shot"?

The only answer to my own comment I can think of is that Romney considers government so bad that he shouldn’t even have run for governor of Massachusetts, much less be running for President of the U.S.A.

I don’t remember anyone bringing up term limits in this election cycle. Is this a jab at Hedley’s fixation on the irrelevant?

If a Democrat proposed employing poor kids as school janitors so that they could have the opportunity to earn money rather than receive food stamps, etc., the Right would denounce the proposal as just another socialist attempt to foster dependence on Big Brother by creating millions of new government jobs. As Newt proposed it, it was denounced by the Left as an attempt to eliminate the jobs of millions of janitors and replace them with underpaid and exploited poor children. It could, in fact, be neither, depending on how it was carried out. But, of course, a dispassionate, sane and rational discussion of the pros and cons and more importantly, the details of how such a proposal would work (or whether or not who mops the school floor is any business of the President of the United States) will never take place.

Quite a few school systems have followed business into hiring cleaning services that do employ workers that make less than what they were paying their janitors…and some of those services have the requirement that one speaks Spanish in order to communicate with their co-workers….

DTPi, what’s with the “trailer trash” shot? That came out of nowhere. One of this strip’s most beloved characters lives in a trailer. Generally, people who live in trailers have no other choice.
