Was Gladys the subject of the following joke?:
A woman ordered a low-cal meal at a diner due to its low price. After consuming it, she ordered a piece of apple-pie, but the waitress told her “we’re out”. Then while she was waiting for her cheque, she saw a man come in and order a large meal with the pie for dessert—which the waitress supplied. Angrily she asked “why did you tell me you were out?” receiving the reply “I didn’t want to spoil your diet!”.
