Venus is just a AGW denier’s idea of a vacation spot. Kicking all politicians down the road isn’t THAT good an idea. My Congressman is an idiot, but my district won’t get rid of him BECAUSE he’s a right wing idiot. Too bad we can’t administer a basic I.Q. and general knowledge test (math, science, geography, language, world and U.S. History) to ALL candidates to see if they’re smarter than a kindergartner, fifth grader WOULD raise the qualification too high for voters to know the difference.

not really, better people are not necessarily good at fund raising and public politicing as currently required. A better Person would simply not enter Politics cause the Job Description involves some unsavory things (like pandering). We take money out of the equation and all of a sudden Ideas are more important (I’m not saying most important, you still can’t fix the other problem with our politics, which is people vote for the guy (or gal) they’d rather have a beer with (the vain part of politics can’t be fixed over night but taking money out of the equation helps a lot )
