All the more reason to be prepared with at least six months of food and other supples, just for when times like the above happen you ARE prepared. When you go to the store for groceries, always buy a few “extra” and start working on your “thinking ahead for a change” food storage. Then, when you can’t make it to the store for a week or two or even a month or two, you still have plenty to eat. Buy extra batteries, lantern fuel, kerosene, fuel for your emergency generator if you have one so you can keep your fridge and freezer running, keeping the food cold. And being able to tell the kids, “Pretty nice, being prepared, isn’t it?” and whipping up some soup (on the camp stove if the electricity is off) and a cup of hot chocolate.

How many of YOU are prepared for not being able to go to the store for at least a month? All of you? No, I doubt that would be true. How many of you stop at the store EVERY NIGHT on the way home from work?

All these years and Kate hasn’t figured that out yet. A whole new chance for the strip, Kate and the kids to get a little smarter.

Mormon Terrorists! That would actually be funny if everyone had a sense of humor.

Ah, the people that buy things that they haven’t eaten in 5 or 10 years and put it in the pantry. I hear you. I don’t think people understand that if you take a can of beef stew from the pantry and eat it, that next time to the store buy a can and put it back, at the BACK of the shelf. FIFO… what does that mean all too many people ask, not having a clue. Sorta like your wife, right? Please don’t tell her I said that about her food buying habits, I don’t need her mad at me. LOL
