There are no “adult” words. There is, though, a class of words that adults use with other adults and children use with other children, but for some reason adults aren’t supposed to use them around children and children aren’t supposed to use them around adults.

The idea of there being “adult” words is nonsensical. Such words should not be said by anyone, especially adults who are setting the tone for the chilren. or whatever reason, certain words are dirty, and others are “clean.” People should speak, generally, with a cleaner tongue.
I ran into some bible-carriers one night who insisted that non-theological swear words were the equivalent of taking-the-Lord’s-name-in-vein words as a one-way ticket to the theological place of eternal punishment.
Yes, one errant sh*t and you’re roasting for eternity. I don’t think the creator of the universe is quite that uptight about fecal matter and intercourse. After all, she’s seen it all billions of times…
Oh my gosh, peple, get off your high horses. Swear words are just words. They are descriptive, and at times, in moderation, completely appropriate, and can often be hilarious. Words have no power except the power you give them. It’s the intent that makes the difference, not the word iteself. “Go F youself” is offensive," but not because of the F word. It’s offensive because of the position the person is taking towards you. “I just stubbed my f*ing toe!!!” is not offensive, grow up.

I taught a few kids like Caulfield over the last 15 years. They were the ones I enjoyed the most.
Never had a problem telling them: what they do on their times is up to them and their parents. At school we follow school rules.
