Republicans, like McCain, are now screaming bloody murder because Obama DID complete the treaty, and isn’t leaving all those little “money makers” in Iraq to increase corporate profits, and maintain those bases we built, for of course the “short term” occupancy. Of course, troops are NOT all gone, the embassy is there, and contractors will continue to rake in the bucks, so Cheney and friends still win??
No it doesn’t. It doesn’t even surprise us ‘libs" . He’s not (as you so childishly say) a “lib” at all. And by that I mean that he isn’t a Liberal in case you don’t actually know how to spell that word. He’s a right winger and, of course, he would find some value in that illegal waste of human lives. What does piss us off is idiots saying “libs”.
rvernon: using facts, education, and an open attitude toward ideas that may be “different” even if you don’t agree with them after evaluation, is “liberal”. Denying total lies, and proven corruption of ideas, is still “liberal” based on the evidence.
Screaming down the opposition, unwilling to even consider any alternative view, basing your argument on the absence of facts, is dogma, and current “conservatism”. (and it is NOT true conservatism)
Politically, Richard Nixon was more “liberal” than the Obama administration, especially with regard to the environment, he took risks to do the “right thing”, that is absent today. As to war, Nixon took office in January 1969, we didn’t pull “combat” forces until ‘72, and didn’t actually leave ‘Nam until April, 1975, and it was Jerry Ford who pulled the final plug on that drain. Obama’s doing better on Iraq, we need to get out of Afghanistan, but it should also include the “contract” employees.

This cartoon is totally unrealistic. In real life, the bankers & CEOs will have no interest in speaking to soldiers at all.

I’ve seen Faux news, it’s a literal gas. Hydrogen sulfide and Beta mercaptopurines smell better than that rancid fertilizer they peddle.

Obama had no choice the contract was signed with G. W. Bush, so no glory, no creds and no election surge for Obama here.

Not much better than our return from ‘Nam. I admire Danzinger’s work and put him right up there with Herb Block and Pat Oliphant.
