    This cartoon is totally unrealistic. In real life, the bankers & CEOs will have no interest in speaking to soldiers at all.

    On the next table over, just out of view, there are Cheney, W and Rummy, clinking their glasses to the fat government retirement checks.

    Agate, do you even WATCH Fox News? Believe it or not, they do report the news. I challenge you to view the 6pm news hour and see for yourself. (not the fake-news “entertainment” programs)

    Republicans, like McCain, are now screaming bloody murder because Obama DID complete the treaty, and isn’t leaving all those little “money makers” in Iraq to increase corporate profits, and maintain those bases we built, for of course the “short term” occupancy. Of course, troops are NOT all gone, the embassy is there, and contractors will continue to rake in the bucks, so Cheney and friends still win??

    Not when you can’t provide a source for that, (and you can’t). BTW, Panetta is hardly a liberal when it comes to defense issues.

    I’m guessing agate doesn’t watch Fox News for the same reasons I don’t. Almost any other source is more reliable and certainly more balanced. They all have their biases, but recent studies show that Fox audiences know less about the world than people who don’t watch any news at all. As a paid operative for the Republican party, their one consistent theme is that literally ANYTHING our President does is wrong. Now they are saying he’s over-celebrating Christmas AND selling it out to pagans at the SAME TIME! Why would anyone want to watch such a deceitful station?

    No it doesn’t. It doesn’t even surprise us ‘libs" . He’s not (as you so childishly say) a “lib” at all. And by that I mean that he isn’t a Liberal in case you don’t actually know how to spell that word. He’s a right winger and, of course, he would find some value in that illegal waste of human lives. What does piss us off is idiots saying “libs”.

    @JudeTheObtuse

    Republicans are called “rethuglicans” and “resluglicans” (and much, much worse) on every thread on this site, and you get pissed of when the word “liberal” is shortened to “lib”?? I’d say this cements my view that you’re a nut job, but I reached that conclusion long ago.

    And of course Panetta is a lib. He was appointed by the most liberal President since… well, ever.

    I’ll give credit where credit is due- Shepard Smith is pretty fair and professional.
