Newt Gingrich: Now, God, I want you to remember I'm a Christian and a Catholic, just like you, which my opponents are not, I might add, most especially Romney, who belongs to some cult or other, and I want you to keep in mind my superior intellect and teaching abilities, qualities which alone should recommend me as being the most deserving candidate to receive your endorsement as the Republican nominee - you being a fellow Republican, and all. Amen. Barack Obama: Lord, please take good care of brother Newt. And please oh please make him the Republican nominee for President. Amen.

Newt, for all his pseudo-intellectualism, has a long and winding trail of hurtful, stupid statements and actions that he could never escape in a campaign in which people other than right-wing true believers vote.

Ah…the power of prayer. The media get ratings. The Dems get a guy whose record and hypocrisy will defeat himself. And the Repubs get a guy who will bloody Obama before going down to defeat, but making them feel good.

Newt “Get rich” is a political survivor with no shame.
Yet the mainstream media does little to rake his record over the coals in public. It disingenuously acts surprised at Ron Paul’s ads critical of Newt like it the first time the Media has even hear of these stunts Newt has pulled.

It’s OK for Newt to have sinned because he has talked to God and God has forgiven him for adultery, cruelty, hypocracy, financial fraud and goodness knows what else. I would liked to have listened in on that conversation between God and Newt. Do you think God forgave Osama Bin Laden, too?

And what does the flea party have to say about all this? Inquiring minds want to know.

I have a co-worker who likes to listen to Glenn Beck. Between show segments, Freedomworks, the Tea-Party parent group, runs ads soilciting for new members.
These things are as priceless as a newly discovered Van Gogh painting, I swear, I haven’t heard God’s name invoked so many times in the course of less than a minute since the last time I walked through a Las Vegas casino.

I know you WISH that were true, but I’m willing to bet you $10,000 that Obama will handle Newt easily just like Bill Clinton did. It’s the nature of bullies to cower when they run into superior force, and your boy is a true intellectual midget compared to our President. Newt was so intimidated by Clinton’s true intelligence that he developed a “one-sided man crush” on Clinton while being destroyed by him in the debates. Gingrich looks like a giant when posed against the clowns in this Republican race, but when the real campaign starts, it’s the big boys that show up.

Now that is competition I can believe in – a serial monogamist who thinks children should be janitors in their school and who shut down the government because of a seat assignment on Air Force One, versus the President, who gave us better health care, ended the wars, killed more terrorists than his predecessor, found Osama (remember Bush looking under his desk?), has added more jobs in 4 years than Bush did in 8, and gave us all a tax break.
Simon_Jester over 12 years ago
You mean the mess that Bush left for HIM to clean up.
And tell me something, would you vote for a Republican candidate who…
Raised Taxes 11 times?
Gave amnesty to illegal aliens?
Sold missile parts to Iran?
Responded to a terrorist attack against our troops by withdrawing them from the are?
Legalized abortion in his state when he was governor?
Or, would you deride him as a RINO and want nothing to do with him?
( Myself, I think you’d opt for the latter. )

I’m with Oliphant on this one. Although I think Newt is a tired joke and will be easily dispatched by Obama in any debate, he’s the only Republican who even remotely has anything original to say – all the others are certifiably crazy. Ron Paul is original but so fringe they won’t let him anywhere near a debate. Pass the popcorn, this is going to be fun.

:Kept the entire financial system from collapsing after decades of conservative mismanagement, that’s what. I don’t like how he did it, but if McCain were president, unemployment would be through the roof.:Passed ObamaCare, which isn’t illegal – will you please stop lying? – no court has ruled on it yet. I would have prefered a universal single payer system, but this has brought health care to millions who would not be covered otherwise and importantly will drive down costs – because people won’t be forced to use emergency rooms, among other reasons. :I’m no big fan of Obama, and he’s faced enormous obstruction from the GOP, but give the man credit where it’s due. I’ll take him any day over a GOP neaderthal who firmly wants to take this country back to the dark ages.

Gingrich got 1.6 million from Freddie Mac. Philanderer, lier, hypocrite, crook, niceties Republicans savor.
tcolkett over 12 years ago
Yeah, he thought he was going to do real well against Clinton too. President Obama is very smart and even though you can’t see it, Newt will do very poorly in a debate with him.
PlainBill over 12 years ago
No skills necessary. Al the president has to do is point out Newt’s economic plans. Everyone gets something – the rich get tax cuts, the middle class get tax increases, and the poor get the shaft.

Well someone should ask her which was worse the breast cancer or living with the Newt. And I would imagine that he has been born again and again and again — just like all the holier-than-thou adulterers crawling among us. Also wouldn’t dismiss his chances — especially if it becomes a 5-4 vote in the Supreme Court again.

newt, u cheating bastard. u cheat on your wive with the secretary. u lost the speakership on an ethics violation by a couple hundred votes. many of your party hate your guts. plus, u run scams about 9/11, and entrepreneur certificate. and, u love tiffany’s bling.
