Ikea used to have great furniture at a reasonable price. Now they’ve got a lot of pricy junk, and a small selection of very expensive good stuff you can only find in some stores. Bought a $400 mattress 12 years ago from them, retired it 2 years ago. Bought a $1000+ Serta and it’s pure junk in under 2 years.
@mph23 – There’s a cult following of their original Jerker computer desk. It was built like a tank but looked like decent (if modern/industrial) furniture and the best value you could find anywhere. The only thing that could compare was a $$$AnthroCart$$$, and they look like like they belong in a data center.
