Every “test situation” has basically proven: more guns = more dead and casualties. The one guy with a concealed weapon at the Gifford’s incident wisely KEPT his weapon holstered, helped subdue the perp, and did NOT kill any civilians, or get killed himself.

My favorite is the law passed to allow guns in church. That way the next time you murder some one infront of their family in church, you can’t be charged for bringing a gun in church.

The NRA seems to think that the best defense against loonies with guns is to make sure everyone has guns, including the loonies, so you can return fire. You may kill ten times more people, but by God your 2nd Amendment rights are protected!

wbr: I always liked reading the “Armed Citizen” column from NRA because they kept listing the times folks shot and MISSED “bad guys”, not reporting who actually got hit, or what. Also, many of their “citizens” would have GONE TO PRISON if they’d been cops or “officially deputized”! Of course there was the guy in Texas who got off for shotgun killing to “suspects” in his neighbor’s FRONT YARD, who were UNARMED, and had NO stolen goods or evidence they were even burglarizing the neighbor’s house!! He was just afeerrred fer his goods! It wasn’t even a case of potential bodily harm!!

Another reason Texas sucks, like selling their oil to China, even if it eventually comes from Canadian tar sands.
