Sorry loved my kids even thru the hard times and now they are extremely interesting adults. You can always go to the theatre or out to eat, but you never get time enough to build a family.

And the rough part about grandchildren is biting my tongue when daughter-in-law wonders why her little ones are so hyper when they get sweet ice tea and lots of candy…

Grandkids are great, but you have to survive the kids first. Congratulations to those of us who did. Oh, and Val – learn to recognize sarcasm.

My mother is ecstatic, I finally got a child who is just like I was! Now every time I call to complain about something he did she just laughs and laughs. :-)

I’m right with you, PsychoDad! My eight are more fun than any art gallery or sushi restaurant.

And yet, the population is declining in Europe and North America…
No kids here, no volunteer to help out :(

Couples who chose no children who are young wait until you get older and cannot attend to your own needs, who will you call on by yourselves. Hubby and I have only two wish we had more hubby did not. That option no longer. No grandkids either.

My x wanted more (but did not earn enough to raise them and never changed a diaper or helped inside the house) so I stopped at 4 and I am very happy with my family. Now that my 3 boys are in their 50s they help each other and me too. My youngest is my daughter and she has twice married the wrong man so yet to see…

But head lice?? We never had that! And aren’t Holly and even Alex too old ? (I heard of some preschool cases)

I’m the oldest of seven, and hope to give my kids the same gift my parents gave me – lots of terrific siblings!
