Spiders from the family Uloboridae are deadly hunters with no venom! Instead they crush their prey with strands of tightly wound silk. Quake and shake! Animals often react to earthquakes before people feel the tremors. They are able to sense the fast-moving but comparatively weak P waves that always come just before the ground rumbling S waves of an earthquake!

I can see animals sensing P Waves after the fact, but what about animals that go bezerk before a quake even happens?
