Hmm, entitlements like CEO salaries and more importantly “bonuses” here at home? (Which doesn’t play the same as Greece.) How much more does a CEO earn than a security guard in the “private sector”?? Nah, no income inequality in the U.S. no reason to give middle and lower class a living income or retirement pension (NOT just dependent upon Social Security).

Do you actually READ what people write, or do you just enjoy trolling through the forums??? There is nothing in there that states that he hates America.

Horsefeathers! dtroutma is simply posting to the wrong forum.

He might better try a cartoon that addresses the current situation in the US.

It might, just might, be noted that Lisa, gray, zit and others on the right have consistently insisted that here in America, “entitlements” and salaries especially for all public service people, and of course unions, should be slashed, while CEO “benefits” at only 500 times “average employee” should be further raised! The U.S. argument from the “right” on Greece IS directly related to the “issue” here at home. And their desire to turn the U.S. into a feudal or fascist society and economy is NOT what we TRUE AMERICANS fought for! Being strongly anti-feudal is NOT “commie”, “socialist”, or in any way “Marxist”, but while we’re at it, again, ALL theocracies suck the worst of ALL possible forms of government.

Its the law of numbers folks…would you rather have 1 million people give you $10 each or 10 millionaires give you $10,000 each? Well the opposite is true as well. If you give millions of people a thousand dollars each…it becomes a problem. CEO s, sports stars, movie celebrities, etc…yea they were lucky, but in reality ther aren’t enough of them to pay for ask of us. Greece is now needing assistance because either they are not good at math or because they only say no on October28th.

Why does no one include the $10B TOBACCO subsidies as “entitlements” any more?

I agree. But what trout, legend, Kent and the rest of their ilk want boarders on treason.

    .

Seriously, more govt? Higher taxes? Socialized entitlements? The founding fathers would have had him hanged for high treason…

^“KISS”- the “right” constantly says cut “benefits” and “entitlements” while maintaining regulations and laws that benefit the “1%”.

Republicans DID cut GI bill for “out of state” vet students last Oct. During the “Bush years”, VA spending did NOT increase sufficient to keep up with inflation and increased needs. Republicans are ALL calling to cut federal/state/ and local salaries and benefits for “public sector” employees. They want cuts in SS and Medicare (but not negotiate drug prices), but don’t touch the income of the 1%. Yesterday the joint Chiefs said any “defense” cuts would of course have to come from troops, not “toys”, once again the Pentagon straw dog on any cuts- hit the troops, not the contractors (1%’ers).

The greatest ‘entitlement’ of all is inherited wealth.
