My daughter had money and savings, and married a “religious” guy with mounds of student debt. They finally got the debt paid off and are doing okay. But, they moved to New Zealand, because that’s where the jobs were.
You seem to be excluding the possibility that the woman is the good provider and the man takes care of the children. Don’t be a pig, charlie — you can share morals, beliefs, and political goals and work both ways.My (deeply Catholic) mother was forced to raise her five kids pretty much single-handed thanks to my alcoholic deadbeat dad (from whom she got her marriage annulled) — she worked, ran the PTA, and raised five kids who went to Harvard, Georgetown, Boston University, University of Georgia, and Georgetown (again). So I suggest you join the 21st Century in your assumptions.Furthermore, unlike the 1950s, both members of a couple often need to work to ensure the quality education and upbringing of their children, especially as the GOP seems to want to make it impossible to do that unless you are wealthy.
