Bob Costas’ eulogy on Sunday night was pretty much spot-on—he gave the good and the bad, and covered both how much Davis did for the league and how much of a pain in the ass he was, often without justification..The sopfest on ESPN on Monday night, on the other hand, left me scratching my head wondering, “Did any of these guys ever really meet Al Davis?” And yes, I am including Jon Gruden in that question.
